Good quality, but limited to controling flame ONLY
Buying this control system completely fixed/replaced the failed remote and receiver on my DESA fireplace. I called Tech Sup to make sure I'd ordered the right kit. The guy who answered was friendly and helpful. He warned me about older stepper motors may need to be replaced. The wiring harness fit my unit perfectly and work flawlessly. Saved me from buying a new $500 replacement fireplace.
This remote has been working great for several years now. The Temp can be selected when using it as a smart remote and the Fire will modulate to give the selected temp. This includes starting and stopping the flame on it's own. The unit can also be adjusted manually to start or stop the fire as well as desired flame height. Enjoy`
