Alaska Wood Stove Replacement Glass
Alaska Company wood stoves use ceramic glass (Robax or equivalent) rated for high-temperature wood burning. Standard tempered glass will fail and is a fire hazard in wood stoves — always use the correct ceramic glass thickness and dimensions for your Alaska stove model. We carry direct-fit replacement glass for current and legacy Alaska wood stove models.
For other wood stove glass, see all fireplace replacement glass or Buck Stove Glass.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Alaska wood stove need ceramic glass instead of tempered?
Wood stoves run 800-1,200°F+ inside the firebox. Tempered glass is rated to ~600°F continuous and will fail under wood-stove heat — creating a fire hazard. Ceramic glass (Robax) is rated to 1,400°F+ continuous and is the only safe option for wood stoves.
