Buck Stove Model 81 Parts. The Model 81 is Buck's most popular wood stove size. Its door glass (PG2124GL) and bay side glass (PG810100) are shared with the Models 18, 20, 21, 85 and 261, and its front-mount blower is the Fasco PE910714. Every part below lists the models it fits.
Model 81 parts that get replaced
The door glass on the Model 81 measures 9-1/2" × 15-13/16" (PG2124GL) and is the same panel used on the Models 18, 20, 20ZC, 21, FS21, 85 and 261, so if you have a chipped or cracked pane the fix is one part regardless of which of those stoves you own. Bay-window versions of the 81 use two bay side glass panels (PG810100) in addition to the front glass; the complete bay window kit replaces the frame and both side panels together. The blower motor is the front-mount Fasco convection unit (PE910714), shared with the Models 20, 80, 85, 91 and 94.
Telling an 81 from a 91 or 74
All three share the same Buck styling. The 91 is catalytic and has a combustor above the baffle and a probe port; the 81 and 74 are non-catalytic. The 81 is the mid-size of the two non-cats and the rating plate will say 81 or 81-series. When in doubt, the door glass size settles it: 9-1/2" × 15-13/16" is the 81 family, 11-3/16" × 17-1/2" is the 74/91 family.
