Buck Vent-Free Gas Stove Parts (Models 34, 329, 384, 42, 1110, 1127). Gas valves, ODS pilot assemblies and glass for Buck's vent-free gas stoves and fireplaces: the Model 34 and 384 Manhattan and Contemporary stoves, the 329, the 1110 and 1127, and the 42 and FP42ZC fireplaces. Match the fuel (natural gas or propane) to your appliance before ordering a valve or pilot.
Gas valve or pilot?
If the pilot lights and stays lit but the main burner will not come on, or the burner drops out at random, the SIT 820 millivolt gas valve is the usual cause; Buck uses the 820 series on the Models 34, 42, 329 and 384 and the valve must match your fuel (PE820638 natural gas, PE820636 propane). If the pilot will not light or will not stay lit, start with the ODS pilot assembly (PE8251 natural gas, PE8404C propane); the oxygen-depletion sensor is a safety device that shuts the appliance off when the pilot flame weakens, and it fails closed as it ages.
Fuel matters
Natural gas and propane valves and pilots are not interchangeable and there is no conversion kit for the ODS pilot. Check the rating plate for NG or LP before ordering.
