Dimplex Logs, Media & Accessories
Dimplex logs, log sets and media
Every accessory here fits a specific Dimplex series, so start from the fireplace you own. Revillusion fireboxes take the 30" log kits (RBF30) or the birch 36/42 kit (RBF36, RBF42); the 24/30/42 kit is the standard replacement set. The 20" and 25" Revillusion plug-in log sets need no firebox at all: they sit in an existing masonry fireplace and plug into an outlet. Opti-Myst cassettes use burning media, black river rocks or driftwood over the mist bed. Prism and linear (BLF/LF) models take the driftwood kits and the plug kit. Each product page lists the exact models it fits.
Which Dimplex log set fits my fireplace?
- Revillusion RBF24, RBF30 fireboxes — 30" Accessory Log Kit (standard or birch) for the 30"; the 24/30/42 Accessory Log Kit is the OEM replacement set.
- Revillusion RBF36, RBF42 fireboxes — Birch Log Set Accessory RBFL42BR, plus the single-pane front glass (RBFGLASS36 / RBFGLASS36P) if the original glass is damaged.
- No firebox yet? The 20" and 25" Revillusion Plug-In Electric Log Sets convert a masonry fireplace to electric in an afternoon; add the 20" Ashmat for a finished hearth look.
- Opti-Myst GBF1000/1500-PRO and CDFI cassettes — Burning Media Accessory, Black River Rocks (CDFI1000 or CDFI1500 size), Driftwood kit, the Log Set Kit CDFILOG-KIT-3 and the direct-wire heater accessory.
- Prism BLF and Linear LF fireboxes — Driftwood accessory kits in 50", 60/74" and 100" widths.
Replacing the flame or ember bed
Dimplex's flame effect is LED-driven with a rotating flicker mechanism; on Multi-Fire XD models the ember bed is acrylic or glass media that lifts out for cleaning or replacement. If the flame moves but looks dim, clean the reflector and media first. If the flame has stopped moving, the flicker motor or drive belt is the usual cause; contact us with the model number and we will locate the part.
