The Buck Stove Model 91 is Eligible for the 26% Tax Credit Program.

• The 26% tax credit is valid from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2022. In 2023, the tax credit will remain in effect for the entire year, but the percentage steps down to a 22% tax credit.

• Customers will claim their tax credit when they file their taxes on IRS form 5695 under “Residential Energy Efficient Property Credit. “ They will need their purchase receipt (showing the cost of the product and installation).

• Customers will also need the manufacturer certificate stating that the stove qualifies for the credit and is at least 75 percent efficient HHV.

• The credit applies to qualifying wood and pellet stoves and, unfortunately, not to gas stoves.

Buck Stove was born during the national energy crisis in the 1970s. When approached by Asheville inventor Carroll Buckner with his new three-speed wood-burning stove idea, Robert Bailey and Alvin Barrier decided to manufacture them and turned their supply shop into a factory.

The stoves proved to be popular, and the company has been thriving ever since. They are made in the USA at their Facility in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.
